What does MASL mean?

MASL means, “Meters Above Sea Level.” Higher elevations are associated with sweeter, more complex coffee flavors. At higher elevations temperatures are lower which causes coffee trees to grow more slowly. The cherries ripen more gradually giving them more time in which to develop complex coffee flavors and a denser bean, which results in a more even roast.
