Our ultralight rain jacket is designed to be lightweight, packable, and easy on the wallet. New features include a more durable 70D fabric (siliconized inside and out), a double-ended (two-way) waterproof front zipper, and improved hood fit. This backpacking rain jacket features an oversized fit, 17″ long waterproof pit zips, adjustable drawcord waistband, and combination elastic/velcro adjustable wrist closures give you all the options you need for a comfortable fit and strategic ventilation.
All rain jacket seams are bound (not taped), which encases the entirety of the seam to prevent water leakage*. All zippers on the rain jacket are waterproof with a PU backing. Please note, considering our intense waterproofing standards, this rain jacket is NOT breathable. However, the pit-zips and two-way bodice zipper do offer plenty of relief when you need some air flow.
These rain jackets are cut generously to fit over your layers, and make an excellent top layer for rain, snow, and wind protection. See FAQ section at the bottom of the page for “Wash & Care”.
*To completely repel water at the seams, we suggest applying sealer before use. We recommend: SilNet
