Why the two types of suspension straps?

In the interest of maintaining the safety of our wilderness areas, we offer 1″ polyester tree straps to be used with our Muletape suspension straps. We sell them separately because we realize some may own a set of tree straps. But we highly recommend that everyone utilizes tree straps that are 1″ in width or greater to protect the trees. The Muletape attaches quickly to the Tree Straps with a simple larks head knot.
